Fr. Michael is on a journey of discovery and reflection. He walked his first Camino a decade ago, and he has returned to his practice of walking many times since then. In 2020, besides a short visit with family in SouthAfrica, Fr. Michael intends to walk the Via Francigena from Canterbury, UK to Rome – over 1,600 km (1,000+ mi).

We will be sharing photos and reports from Michael as this amazing journey unfolds. Please check the “Travel Log” tab under Sabbatical Journal 2020 to see the photos he is taking along the way. And feel free to sign up for his monthly newsletter. The newsletter will have updates about his progress and of course a reflection from Fr. Michael written from where ever he finds himself during that month.
