A few unexpected changes in today’s walk. A noticeable drop in temperature, the first time I’ve had to wear a jacket, wish I also wore my beanie, there was also a strong cold wind blowing, thank God, at my back. The moon was almost full and the only common element was the blasted rocky road.
It was most pleasant walking in the cool, dark morning and I arrived at El Toboso after about 2 1/2 hours. I had coffee there and then set out for the next 11 or so kilometres to Quintanar de la Ordin. Today’s walk was only 22 km, however, it seemed much longer and more difficult because the strong wind kept throwing me off balance, as long as it was blowing at my back I was fine but when the road changed direction and it hit me side-on, it was so strong it kept blowing one of my sticks in front of my feet and catching the backpack sending me staggering along the path.
The walk from El Toboso to Quintanar de la Orden, challenging because of the strong wind and rocky road.
